Scott B. Woll, Sr. - Principal
Scott, the founder and principal of SBWAdvisors, has over 25 years experience in the financial services arena, specifically in the mortgage and banking industries. He has diversified background and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the lending business; Producion, Operations, Secondary Marketing, Accounting/Finance and Loan Servicing. And what separates him from others is his passion for assisting others and giving back the knowledge and information he has gained from others over his career.
Scott has held senior executive management positions in Capital Markets, Finance/Accounting, Servicing and Production; EVP Secondary Marketing, CFO, SVP Loan Servicing and SVP Operations. He has worked for various organizations; ranging from start-ups to existing, from independent-owned to bank-owned, and from small to large organizations. This has given him a well diversified background and knowledge of mortgage, banking and credit union organizations across all aspects of the financial services industry.
He was involved in the creating of one of the first ARM Mortgage Backed Securities in 1985. He has structured business strategies to enhance efficiencies and increase overall revenue. In addition, he has established relationships with investors, the GSE’s, and other lenders in order to increase available products, competitive pricing and warehouse lines of credit. He has created numerous rate sheets, product guidelines and established hedging strategies (mandatories, AOT, bulk sales) for retail, correspondent and wholesale operations.
Scott has evaluated and traded over $5 billion in mortgage servicing rights over his career. Has increased national annual volume over 500%. He has a strong knowledge of the revenue streams as well as the industry recognized matrices to determine profitability as well as R.O.I and R.O.E.
Scott has authored various articles in industry publications; Mortgage Banking Magazine, Mortgage Orb, National Mortgage Professional Magazine and MortgageNewsClips.com to name a few.
Scott graduated in 1979 from the University of Delaware with a BS in Business and Finance. He has been involved with Mortgage Bankers Association of America and is a member of LinkedIn.com.
Scott lives in Mount Laurel, NJ with his lovely wife of 27 years and their five wonderful children.
